For the foreseeable future RAC has decided not to publicise statistics.
This is for two primary reasons
1) Of the statistics that are available, these need to be seen
in a particular context . In all probability there are factors which
need to be considered when utilising these e.g.
- These may be provincial
- The sample study may be from a particular prison etc.
2) The second has to do with the "age" of official figures.
These are a minimum of 6 months old which make attaching any meaningfull
understanding very subjective.
We have however included some figures which help us understand
what victims perceptions and the public at large are. These are
less likely to change dramatically over a few months.
Research on Crime
